When getting started in photography, how did you develop your style? Was it something that came naturally to you or have you had to test and try out a couple of different things? For most photographers it is a journey of trial and error and in this episode of Tog Talks, Ted Linczak shares some ways of developing your style and then marketing your uniqueness to your market. Ted shares his journey as a wedding photographer and how he transitioned into a new market, as well as how he continues his growth as an artist and entrepreneur.
Ted Linczak M. Photog.Cr, along with his wife Rachel Bevins Linczak M. Photog.Cr., are the owners and photographers of Linczak Photography and Nuvo Images. After meeting at Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, OH, the couple got married in 2006 and quickly began their journey into the world of professional photography. Up to that point, Ted had studied business in college, and no intention of beginning an artistic career. At the suggestion of following in her parent’s footsteps, Rachel introduced Ted to the world of wedding photography, and the idea of starting a photography studio blossomed shortly after they married. Upon starting Linczak Photography in August of 2006, they rapidly became one of the most sought after photography studios in Northeast Ohio, and in 2012 expanded their market reach with the Nuvo Images brand in Charleston, SC.
